"My childhood was filled with poems, tales and short stories, among which Baltagul of Mihail Sadoveanu - the book from which Miorita was inspired. This series of five paintings is an homage to Victoria Lipan's courage and determination - the heroine of the book. It is my vision of her long path through montains and valleys in search of her husband."
